Parents are elated as kids nationwide turn off video games and other passive amusements to develop and master the physical skills of juggling the diabolo, a modern high-tech variant of the Chinese Yo-Yo. One enterprising young man has leveraged his diabolo fascination into an eCommerce and fan destination web site at DiaboloDepot.com .
Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) November 23, 2009 -- Adam Lamb, age 10, announced today the Grand Opening of www.DiaboloDepot.com. The eCommerce and fan destination website features videos of beginner, advanced and master diabolo tricks, and also offers the highest quality Sundia Shining Series triple bearing diabolos and composite carbon hand sticks.
The diabolo is a modern variant of the Chinese Yo Yo, a circus trick device popularized hundreds of years ago. Today diabolos are made of durable plastic cones jointed by a bearing and manipulated with strings. Some of the more coveted types are triple bearing designs that allow the juggler to develop rapid spin speeds and enable a broad variety of diabolo tricks. Experienced diabolists can perform tricks juggling two, three and more diabolos.
Lamb is a fourth grade student at Carl Sandburg Elementary School where physical education teacher Andy Sandbo introduced diabolo to the kids. Adam took that interest home to his father who tried to buy a diabolo on the web and found that the best models were rarely in stock at domestic distributors and twice he had to order from a shop in England. Thinking there had to be a better way to find high-quality diabolos in Seattle and beyond, the father-son team set out to launch the new website.
"At first it was just about the videos," said Adam who appears in his own video on the site. "Then we received our first shipment and it was exciting to photograph them for the website." Not only does DiaboloDepot.com give Adam a great place to showcase his inventory to his schoolyard buddies, the site has attracted customers from California to New Jersey.
Meanwhile, Adam is focused on mastering new tricks. "There are a lot of great diabolo jugglers at our school, so its tough to be the best," he said. "But I can do a suicide grenade with one diabolo and a fan sprinker with two," he added, referring to two popular diabolo tricks.

Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) February 23, 2010 -- Adam Lamb, age 10, announced today the launch of www.DiaboloSticks.net, the new website division of DiaboloDepot.com that's focused exclusively on offering the highest quality Sundia carbon diabolo sticks.
"We were skeptical at first, but these high-performance Sundia carbon sticks are outselling standard wood sticks more than three to one," said Lamb. "Because almost everyone that tries these great sticks likes them better, we have dedicated an exclusive section of our online store to showcase the new designs," he added.
Although they cost significantly more than regular sticks, the new Sundia carbon composites are worth it, according to DiaboloGuy's recent review at diabolosticks.info. Each new Sundia stick is built from space-age carbon composite materials to deliver a rigid design with less profile and wind resistance than standard wooden sticks. Foam cushioned handles enable control with comfort, while a variety of styles will suit every personality.
Lamb is a fourth grade student at Carl Sandburg Elementary School, where he is a member of the school's extra-curricular Diabolo Club created to encourage and support kids' diabolo interests. With his father's help, Lamb created his diabolo store to import and distribute hard-to-find Sundia Shining Series triple bearing diabolos to the growing number of diabolo aficionados in the United States.
